The breakdown of food waste occurs in the presence of microorganisms that can tolerate highly spicy and acidic foods. Add cooked and raw food waste, including food of plant and animal origin. Fibrous vegetables and fruits are best cut into smaller pieces for optimal results. Extremely quiet and energy efficient. Does not disturb sleep and consumes less than 1.25 kWh per day. Instructions for use:

Pour the ReencleMicrobe™ compost starter pack into the device, add 1.5 L of water and turn on the device. After 18 to 24 hours, you can insert a maximum of 1 kg of organic waste. Depending on the ingredients, the processing cycle lasts from 2 to 24 hours.
The device automatically mixes the ingredients and controls the temperature, humidity and ventilation. Bacteria and microorganisms break down organic matter, creating compost from it. The resulting material can be used as a source of food for plants, as good quality compost.
The 3-layer filtration system ensures an environment free of odors and pests. Easy to clean, the lid opens using the opening button or movement sensor. It contains a replaceable carbon filter.

After the initial installation of the device (placing sawdust containing microorganisms and adding 1.5 L-1.8 L of water), it is necessary to wait 24 hours before adding food residues so that the microorganisms can activate.

Frequently asked questions

What prerequisites must be met for device installation?

• To start the device, you need a regular power connection (single-phase). Add microorganisms (included with the device) and water (1.5 – 1.8L) to the device. The activation period of the microorganisms is 24 hours, after which they are ready to process food residues.

What residues go into the device and what is produced from the processing?

• Acceptable food scraps – Reencle can break down food that humans and animals can digest – fruits, vegetables, cooked and baked meat and fish, pasta, cereals, cakes, crackers, bread, boiled eggs.
  Food scraps rich in fiber can cause slow decomposition and it is recommended to cut them into smaller pieces before placing them in the device - pizza crust, watermelon and banana peels, radishes, cabbage, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, corn.

Do not put anything hard or inedible for humans into the device. These types of food debris can cause Reencle to malfunction – bones, seafood (clams, crabs, lobster), pits (peach, avocado), nut shells, whole root vegetables, oil, medications, cigarettes, wooden cutlery, paper, tape, plastic, rubber, metal, glass.

• After processing, we obtain a nutrient-rich substrate that you can use to feed your plants (composting) or dispose of with household waste (biodegradable or mixed municipal waste).

Processing time?

• The processing time is approximately 24 hours, depending on the type of food waste you put in. The device runs continuously, and you can add food waste as needed throughout the day – opening the device lid will not interrupt the decomposition cycle.
