The Kefirko Cheese Making Kit is an easy way to make homemade, fresh, creamy kefir cheese rich in probiotics. All you need to do is pour in the kefir, strain it, and add spices and toppings to your taste!
The Kefirko cheese set is very simple - it consists of 4 parts: a lid, a mesh basket, a plastic ring, and a glass container that holds the drained whey.
If you want a thicker kefir, perfect for sauces, let the kefir drain for a few hours. If you leave it overnight, you will get a soft, creamy cheese, perfect for healthy sandwiches, and if you leave it for 1-2 days, you will get a semi-hard cheese that can be consumed on its own or used in various recipes.
You can add fresh or dried fruit, herbs, nuts, fresh spinach, or various spices to your cheese to your taste!
MEASURING THE QUANTITY OF CHEESE
By squeezing one portion of kefir (approx. 600ml) you will get 200-300 grams of soft kefir cream cheese.
DRAINING TIME
The longer you strain the kefir, the thicker the cheese will be. The consistency of the cheese also depends on the ingredients and temperature. This is the average straining time:
- a few hours for a thicker kefir that you can use for sauces
- overnight for soft cream cheese
- 1-2 days for semi-hard cheese
PREPARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CHEESE
Kefir cheese is not the only cheese that you can prepare in the Kefirko cheese making set. Using additives for cheese and rennet, you can prepare various types of cheese - with each Kefirko you get a booklet with recipes!
PREPARE COFFEE AND TEA
You can also use the Kefirko cheese making set to make coffee and tea. Be careful not to pour boiling liquids into the glass container as it may break.
PREPARE YOUR PLANT MILK
Use a glass container to soak nuts or grains to make plant milk. Strain the plant milk after blending through a mesh basket - use a metal spring to completely strain the milk from the pulp.
WHEY
The liquid that remains in the glass container after the cheese is strained is called whey. It contains many beneficial bacteria and can be used in many recipes.
