My name is Helena and I am a big fan of healthy and delicious food, which is an indispensable part of me and my family. Until the age of 17, I was a healthy and cheerful girl who lived life to the fullest and enjoyed her youthful days. After that, my life turned upside down like the wheel of fortune, for some in a positive direction and for some in a negative direction. For 7 whole years, I lived through a difficult life situation, and filled my medical record with many diagnoses until today my dear "friend" COELIA DISEASE walked into my life. By finding the diagnosis that was the cause of all my diagnoses from a tunnel full of darkness, I saw the light and celebrated my new birth. After that, I switched to a gluten-free diet, which is my only lifelong cure. But unfortunately, switching to a diet alone does not fully lead to the expected recovery, because in addition to gluten, I struggled with allergies and food sensitivities.
Since I was too complicated and a puzzle for nutritionists, and they either failed to create a menu for me with numerous restrictions or they succeeded, but it didn't suit my body, my search for recipes began in which I would design a diet for all of us with numerous restrictions. I researched different eating styles from LCHF, paleo, and raw food. In the end, I found myself in a combination of raw, vegan, and paleo diets. By finding the right diet, my body has made an incredible recovery, and the enthusiasm and happiness that fills me cannot replace a single moment of pain that I have experienced in recent years. In the meantime, I opened the blog Zdravo i slasno where I started sharing my recipes and experiences, and after that the group "Gluten-free recipes" which today has over 15,000 members in a short time. I decided to present all my energy, love for food and health in my book where I will describe my long-term struggle with the disease, recovery through a new lifestyle and prove to everyone that a gluten-free diet, despite the obstacles, does not have to be boring and tasteless, but that it can truly be HEALTHY AND DELICIOUS. What makes me most happy is that finally all people with eating disorders will be able to enjoy it.

I started writing the Healthy and Delicious blog 3 years ago, when after seven years of struggle I was finally diagnosed with celiac disease – an insidious autoimmune disease of gluten intolerance that was the cause of all my health problems. Since I was too complicated for nutritionists and they were unable to create a menu for me with numerous restrictions, or they were partially successful but it did not suit my health condition, my search for recipes began in which I would create recipes for all of us with numerous dietary restrictions.
With this new knowledge, I started living a different life and decided to share it with my blog Zdravo i slasno, which now has 13,000 followers in a short time. I decided to dedicate this blog to all celiac disease sufferers and to my group "Gluten-Free Recipes", which I now see as my second family. I was touched by the reactions of my dear members who supported me throughout my journey, so I decided to get involved and help everyone who has the same difficulties as me. In the meantime, I discovered a huge passion for photography, which also relaxes me greatly and has a positive effect on my health.
My diet today is based on a combination of raw, vegan, and paleo diets.
In addition to the gluten-free diet, which is my lifelong remedy due to allergies and hypersensitivity to certain foods, I do not consume meat, fish, eggs, yeast, dairy products, some vegetables, and certain gluten-free grains, including rice and corn.
I really like to experiment in the kitchen and every day is a new challenge for me. My favorite foods in my diet are smoothies, juices and chia seed puddings, as well as baked gluten-free and raw desserts, which have become my passions.
After 3 years of great company with you, I decided to present you with a completely new version of my blog, Hello and Delicious, because that's exactly what you deserve.
Regardless of my diet, I have always wanted to promote awareness of gluten-free diets as much as possible. But not the classic one based on industrial foods, but on natural whole foods. I will try to reveal my secrets to how I approach it and make it easier for you to prepare meals in a gluten-free kitchen.
