On Sunday, May 28, 2017, in the center of Varaždin (Kapucinski trg) from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, a festival of vegan products and sustainable living called "VegeFest Varaždin 2017" will be held.

DOROTEA SOLOMUN
Dorotea Solomun is an MA in Economics and a cooking teacher, project manager at the Center for Sports and Education "SoloPro". Since 2004, she has been improving her knowledge in the field of natural nutrition. She promotes whole and local foods and a balanced healthy diet adapted to a modern lifestyle in accordance with the seasons. She has a particular interest in working with children and young people, which she enjoys the most.
"What children eat in their youngest years will be remembered for their entire lives and will become part of their life habits. It is not enough to just talk, it is up to us, parents, teachers, and members of the community, to show this by good example."
She has designed and has been implementing the projects "I Choose Healthy" and "Health at the Table" with schoolchildren from the city of Varaždin at the Medenjak Association since 2013, with the support of the City of Varaždin and Varaždin County. The projects aim to prevent obesity and positively change eating habits in primary school children.
In collaboration with the Institute of Public Health of Varaždin County, she designed and is implementing the project "How to Save the Brain" and with the Society for the Protection of Diabetes she is conducting cooking workshops "Healthier Way of Eating". She is a co-organizer of the first Food Revolution Day in Varaždin. Through her work, she strives to promote the synergy of ideas worth spreading, art and a healthier way of life.
