This vegan "cheese" sauce can be thicker or thinner, depending on how much water you add. You can use this versatile recipe as a sauce, spread, topping, or tortilla filling!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cashews (soaked for 2-4 hours, rinsed and drained)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tablespoon tamari
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1/4 cup fresh red pepper
- 1/8 of a small purple onion (the size of a lemon slice)
- 2 tablespoons water
