Did you know that you can make oat "milk" in your cold-press juicer?
It is extremely simple and delicious and incomparably cheaper and healthier than store-bought drinks with a long shelf life.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of small oatmeal flakes
- 4-5 cups of water
- optional sweetener and flavoring: honey, agave syrup, date syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa...
Pour 1 cup of oatmeal with 1 cup of water and let it sit for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, alternately add the soaked oatmeal to the juicer with 3-4 cups of water (depending on whether you want a thinner or creamier drink).
The juicer will separate the "milk" and pulp so you don't have to strain it further, and you can then add sweetener and/or flavorings to your taste.
